19.04.10 - WELL DONE......Firstly we have to congratulate the u13’s who this week completed the “quadruple treble” that they were striving for. Midweek saw them beat the excellent Milan Park to seal the league and they followed that up with a one-sided G.Stapleton cup final by beating Rainhill Rockets. Well done to the management of Jay Maddock, Lee Turkington and most of all the players themselves for a really impressive 4 year’s. There is still the possibility of even more silverware for the 13’s as they are in a semi-final in the Warrington district cup. More details to follow on this game.
The 14’s keep the pressure on the chasing pack with an emphatic win over Beechwood. Only a few more games will see them seal the league. It’s an important week for the 14’s who play not only in the final of the district cup this coming Tuesday with a 7pm KO at Pavilion’s against Frodsham 14’s, they are also appearing in the T.Humphries cup the following Saturday against Pavilions.
The 12’s suffered defeat against an excellent Heath side leaving 2nd place the main target for them now. Whilst the result wasn’t in question, certain things surrounding this game need to be looked at and the conduct of some must also come under question. The 11’s continue to impress onlookers with another good win over local opposition. Next season cannot come quick enough for these lad’s.
The 10’s Phoenix suffered the worst of defeats when they went out on penalties against Beechwood in there 1st of two semi-final’s. It’s the cruellest of ways for anyone to go out but having spoken to both managers, I am told that the game was played in the best of spirit’s, some really good football was played by both team’s and the players of both team’s acquitted themselves immensely. The 2nd semi in this Thursday against Heath. Let’s see what happens this time if indeed the game doesn’t go ahead....again!! The Alpha’s also saw the end of season blues hit them when they went down 0-2 to Heath. Having suffered the player loss they have over the course of the season, let’s hope there are more stable times when they step up to either the 9 or 11 a-side format of the game.
The 7’s & 8’s are still flying along brilliantly. The upcoming mini-footy tournament’s will really showcase there talent’s and I for one will be spending both day’s watching them.
Finally, whilst the club’s upcoming changes will see an end of the name Inter Union JFC on the area’s Saturday cup’s, I am more than confident this will be replaced by Inter Linnets and then eventually Runcorn Linnets as this club is going to be around for a long time yet.

12.04.10 - Nearly there. With all teams posting win's, there are only a few games left before more silverware arrives at its rightful place. The 14's are looking at a possible quad though there are some tough games left to encounter. They are also 2nd in the in the Liverpool league though they are so many games games behind, I really cannot see when they will get to fit them all in. The 13's are also flying high with a possible 4th season when they win all 3 cup's in the local league on the bounce. The Warrington league is also looking good for this special age group but again, there are too many games to fit in due to the worst winter in recent years. Lets hope both age groups can get as many in as possible. The 12's posted a great win over Reid Park and its currently the tightest of leagues the way things stand (unless someone changes the rules again...!). The 11's are still progressing well and I am sure they will be out of the blocks faster next season. Both 10's teams had good league win's though the Phoenix should have been playing in the cup. 2nd cancellation in recent weeks under dubious circumstances indeed.!! Still I have no doubt these lads can win both matches looking for a cup double. The 9's have sadly folded due to issues that children should not get caught up in. This age groups had and still have some special players and it's a pity the people who left did so even though they have deprived there players from finishing the season off. The 7's & 8's mini-footy lad's are our youngest and most promising of our age groups. These lad's and lasses will have the local leagues tied up for years to come.
Upcoming dates for your diaries
18th Apr - U13's G. Stapleton Cup Final - KO 3.30pm
20th Apr - U14's District cup final - 7pm - Pavilions
24th Apr - U14's T. Humphries Cup Final - KO 12noon
8th May - The u7's mini-footy tournament.
9th May - The u8's mini-footy tournament.

06.04.10 - Inter Tourney - What a great day it was yesterday. Everyone had a great day. It's raised some major money for the club and we were graced with some great football and some good laugh's. First off, a big thanks to the team who arranged the day. Stu Graham was the idea's man and he also provided the club with (I can't believe I have to say this but....) ex-Liverpool players Jan Molby alongside John Durnin. They brought along there own 5 a side team who were a pleasure to play against. Jay Timms was the compare on the day and he provided the face painting for the kids. The teams were a combination of ex-Sunday league players who don't have the leg's anymore but had a great laught and ex-Sunday league players who don't have the legs but still think they do..!! (you know who you are.). Chairman Bob Wilson graced us with his silky skills and his flying header was more of an impersonation of a falling tree and was one of the highlights of the day. In the end, Molby's team were in the final against the u13's team and it was a great match but the once fresh legs of manager Jay Maddock and trainer, Lee Turkington were not enough to raise the trophy and the winners, quite deservedly went to the B&W's which was captained by Mr Molby himself. A big thanks to all who attended and lets hope this turns into an annual event that get's bigger and better each year.
Back to the club and we are entering into the final phases of the season and there are still at least another 8 trophies that the club can bring home. The 10's Phoenix are in 2 semi finals, one of which is this coming weekend so lets all get down there to watch. The 13's & 14's are both looking like bringing some more silverware and the youngest teams all look like doing well in the annual mini-football tournaments.

29.03.10 - Another day, another trophy - Before we get onto the most exiting news in the club's short history, an awesome weekend saw the 14's & 13's continue there dominance in there respective age groups. The 14's saw off Cronton Villa Jnr's in a one sided 8-0 affair to take the G.Hesketh memorial cup. It was hard to pick any outstanding players as the whole team played superbly but Jordan Maddock stood out as the captain and raise the cup. The 13's had a closer fought (literally) encounter when they took on Milan Park running out eventual 2-1 winners. A rare goal from Todd Avis and another Ste Brown finish saw them take a step closer to a potential quadruple treble. A feat that surely must make this age group the team to watch.
On the league front, the season is drawing to it's inevitable close but the 7's & 8's a re looking at finishing with a bang. Both teams have played some superb football and it looks like they will be going into the summer leagues with a 100% record. The 10's Phoenix had a quiet weekend when there game was cancelled due to illness in the opposition ranks and the 10's Alpha's had their resurgence temporarily halted by an in-form Heath Rangers team. I managed to catch the 1st half and I must say that the turnaround in form can only be attributed to manager Gary Bazley, trainer Dave Graven and the players themselves. I was also lucky enough to catch the 11's in their game against Bridge Athletic and this is another age group who have turned there season around. Having seen manager Ste McKenna along side trainers Brian Mills & John McLennon, it won't be long before this age group will be bringing some further glory to the club. The 12's hope to continue there recent form and league titles are still within there grasp.
This lead's us onto the next big step in Inters short but trophy laden history. Over the last few month's, conversations have been on-going with the soon to return Runcorn Linnets team, and we can now announce that as of next season, Inter Union JFC will become the official youth set-up of the Linnets. It's a move that can only benefit the already successful players we have under our umbrella and goes a long way to prove that why we are the best run club in the area. Next season Saturdays team's will see the club colours and name will be replaced by the once famous yellow & green though the name of Inter JFC will still be represented on Sundays in leagues around the area. It's an exiting change that will also see U13's manager, Jay Maddock & U14's Si Archer taking roles as the Linnets reserve team management setup

24.03.10 - Another day, another few cup win's. Congratulations to the 14's on Sat & Sunday for their cup wins when they played both Beechwood Eagles & Brookvale respectively. The Brookvale win saw them get through to the District Cup final where they will play either Frodsham or Cronton Villa. The 13’s also progressed in the Warrington Challenge cup when playing with a bare team that included 2 u12’s, they beat St Helens Town and into the G.Stapleton cup final when they beat an excellent Runcorn Panthers . The 12’s had to admit to 2nd best when they were well beaten by Heath but it was wins for everyone else. The 10’s Phoenix had a great 8-0 win over Dragons with the Alphas hitting the same score line in beating Pavilions. The 9’s have sadly had to fold. It’s a pity really as there were some superb players in that team but re-structuring is taking place and hopefully next season’s team will have some more capable people to be able to take them on the run that they should have hit this season. The mini-footy teams again prove they are more then holding there own and with the summer leagues fast approaching, I can only see sunglasses will be needed when they bring the silver home.
Bingo winner - Corrine Slater wins £292 with week 5. New game starting this Saturday the 27th so any new lines need to be into John Hodnett by Friday please?
--------------
15.03.10 - Finally the break in the weather saw Stockham fields brought back to life. Both main pitches were more than playable and it was a pleasure to see our passing game back again. As ever, the young mini-football sides produced some games though it was unfortunate to see the 4 or 5 players of the u9's who did turn up, suffer when others decided not to play. A team was cobbled together with some players from other teams and age groups to give Heath Utd a game which was good to see. All the lads had a good laugh and thanks to the players from Heath who played for Inter.
The 11's again gained ground over Brookvale and are surely positioning themselves for a serious push next season. The 12's and 14's did the double over Albrights team's with comedy moment coming from the 12's game when a player who shall remain nameless for now, started the day with stomach cramps and when he asked to come on with 10 mins to go, suffered an "accident" after heading a ball and have to leave the field extremely fast. I can also report back that the 10's Alphas continue their resurgence with a cool 3-1 win against a hard working Dragons team.
Cup Glory - The 13's had a bizarre semi final, or more to the point, didn't have a semi final when Rainhill Rockets pulled out the evening before. This meant the 13's made it through to the final without kicking a ball. The 10's Phoenix also were outstanding when they made it through to their 2nd semi final by beating Heath Rangers. I really feel there is more to come from this bunch of players indeed. Keep up the good work boy's.
On a more serious note, on the 1st July, some friends are putting together a great evening for both Liverpool & Everton fans by getting ex blue, Ian Snodin and ex red, Jan Molby together for an evening of funny stories, questions and answers. Tickets are £20 each and hot food will be laid on. For more details, please click the link below. If it doesn't open for you then please email interadmin@inter-unionjfc.co.uk and I will get more info over to you from the organisers.
Finally, Andy Hill from the 12's has also thrown his hat into the mix for the 3 peaks challenge. That's four people now daft enough to attempt this so lets all dig deep and see how much we can raise.
--------------
10.03.10 - 3 Yorkshire 3 Peaks Walk - To raise further funds for the club, a few foolish...er, hardy volunteers are going to complete the famous Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. It consists of walking the 3 peaks of Pen-y-gent, Whernside and Ingleborough which covers approximately 24.5 miles in only 12 hour's. So far, John Hodnett, Jay Maddock & Si Archer have been daft...er, brave enough to put there names forward and it's up to the rest of us to back these lad's as best as possible. As such, could you please speak with John Hodnett to start getting sponsors and every single penny goes back to the club. More info is in the link below.
Inter Union Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge 2010
--------------
08.03.10 - Congratulations to Si Archer on his birthday today. Nice dress Si..!!!
Also a massive well done to the 14's for getting through to the final of the G.Hesketh cup when they did the treble over Pavilions with a 4-3 win. We done to Si Aracher and John Brown for guiding the players through a season of change that has seen them raise there game when asked. So far, the quad is still on for the 14's this season.
The 13's saw off an extremely physical Milan Park that keeps there hopes of a quadruple treble still high on the agenda. Jay Maddock and Lee Turkington are the management in the frame in that group. The 12's had no game this weekend though Andy Hill and John Davies have been improving there skills all season. The 11's played out of their socks when they beat Hale 7-1 away from home. Ste McKenna, Bryan Mills and John McLennon are doing a great job there as is Pete Stevenson & Steve Samuel who steered the 10's Phoenix to there 2nd semi by beating Heath Rangers. Gary Bazley & David Graven are the guy's who are moulding an ever improving 10's Alphas and their win over Brookvale proved there hard work is paying off. The 9's were the team that suffered this weekend though with the players they have, the management team of Chris Poole and Eddie Langton must be looking forward to getting back on track. The 8's and7's are the shining bright lights of the club with both teams posting great recent results. The future of the club is truley in safe hands with Dean Kennington & Peter Gobin with the 8's and Phil Booth, Stu Graham and Phil Lomas with the 7's.
--------------
01.03.10 - Could you all please take a moment to think of Liam Birtill from the u11's and his mother and father, Liz and Tony when they sadly lost Liam's grandfather. Our thoughts are with all of the Birtill family at this time.
On a more happier note, Spring is now officially here and lets just hope this signals a turn in the weather as again, the teams are having to play football on pitches that are sometimes no better than newly ploughed farmers fields. This shows when we are unable to play the type of football that goes hand in hand with being a team from Inter. That said, most age groups equipped themselves well with only the 10's Alphas again coming un-stuck to JFC Pavilions Piranha's in a good old fashioned cup tie. Well done Pavilions and good luck in the next round. The 7's & 8's were both victorious with the 8's playing on the u10's pitch. The difference in size meant all players were drained by half time..!! The 11's were superb at home to Brookvale as were the 12's in a convincing double figure win over Rainhill Rockets in the cup. With pitch 1 of fortress Stockham having taken a sever battering recently, both the 13's & 14's had to reverse there fixtures so thanks to both the Runcorn Panthers & Athena clubs for agreeing the late change of pitches. The 13's ran out convincing winners with the 14's having an extremely tough game against the ever improving Widnes outfit. Sunday saw much of the same with both the 13's & 14's having easy passage's in both the u13's Warrington Challenge and u14's District cup's.

23.02.10 - Sorry for the delay in updates - I am in the process of getting a little helper as I am mad busy with work. Anyway, it was a frustrating weekend for a number of reason's. Firstly, we were again affected by the weather though strangely whilst some games were called of on the home pitches as well as other locations, some games went ahead...??? Go figure that one out.. Anyway, of the games that did go ahead, the 9's, who are arguably one of the clubs biggest prospects again lost even after leading early on. The 10's both had games called off though the 11's were again playing Hale in a closely fought 5-4 loss but we all know that this age group have turned the corner and are already looking forward to acquitting themselves next season. The 12's were up against Heath Real that went to extra time only to see there efforts fail at the final hurdle. The 13's had an easy game when an unfortunate Halton Villa could only field 9 players and the14's went through after a tough physical game against an ever improving Pex Hill team that are in prime place to make a challenge for honours.
Bingo Ball Game 3- I have not had an official update yet but we can confirm the bonus ball has been won by Susan Reeves who won £375. I will update the full spreadsheet once I have it and game 4 will be starting on Sat the 27th. Can you all please get any money owing into John Hodnett ASAP.
--------------
18.02.10 - Does this remind you of anyone we know..??
--------------
14.02.10 - WOW - Well what can I say.? This weekend saw us cement its position as the best club in the area when most of it's age groups dominated their respective games. From top to bottom, it was only the 9's who suffered at the hands of an excellent Heath Rangers side. Its was also the unlucky 10's Alpha's who took on 10's Phoenix in a cup game that saw then run out 2-1 losers. From there on in, all team's acquitted themselves admirably indeed. The 8's, 11's, 12's 13's & 14's all took on worthy opponents but the outcome was a positive on both Saturday and Sunday. Game of the day was the 14's in an embarrassing 8-0 demolition of last seasons league winners, JFC Pavilions. From the off, the home team had absolutely no answer to Inters power and pressure, and the score could have been more if we had composed ourselves in the latter stages of the game. The 13's saw off mid-table Westgarth with the 11's dispatching Beechwood. The 12's had a tough game against an improving Pex Hill Celtic in the cup pre-lim that should have been played last week but that's a head scratcher for another day. The 8's also did well and are un-beaten this season and I cannot wait to report on how good these lads really are next season.

The two Sunday teams saw them both come away with win's. The 14's took on one of Liverpool's oldest club's, East Villa and ran out 8-1 winners with the 13's taking on un-beaten Matthiola who are the 1st division's leaders and sealed a superb 2-1 victory in an well fought encounter.
5 A-SIDE TOURNAMENT - Stu Graham, trainer for the u7's has asked me to add the official flyer for the upcoming fund raiser. Please click the link below for more info.
The Inter Tourney - Adult 6 a-Side Tourney - FLYER
--------------
08.02.10 - Please take a moment to think of Joe Turner, the keeper from the 10's Phoenix who sadly lost his grandfather on Friday night. The clubs thought's are with Joe, his father Lee and the rest of the Turner family.
Back to the football and we have still not managed to see a full programme of fixtures. There is a mystery as to why the 12's didn't have a game especially when the team they should have been playing in the pre-lim of the M.Percival cup also didn't have a game..????? It would make sense to get as much football played as possible and have free weekends when the weather allows doesn't help matter's.
Anyway, of the teams that did take to the field, it was the 10's Alpha's who again didn't get the rub of the green when they were shaded 2-1 by top of the league Pex Hill Blues. Surely their bad luck has to come a finish soon.? 10's Pheonix were short a keeper for obvious reason but the replacements of Michael McCormick & Kirean Lomax soundly stood in for Joe. The winning result should have been far higher than the wrongly reported score-line of 3-1 but it keeps them in touch with the front runner's. The 9's were on fire with only 7 men against an un-sporting 8 man Dragons Crusaders but the away team were still soundly beaten 7-2. The 13's were, as ever on top form when they dispatched Brookvale 9-2 and the game of the day involved the 14's who were expecting and got a tough game against Cromwell however the pressure of battle brought the best out of the lads who went on to record a solid 5-0 win that involved both class on the ball and strength in the tackle. It was certainly a feisty affair that some of the Cromwell players didn't take to kindly too but I must say that Cromwells no12 was superb both on and off the pitch in trying to calm things down. I wish there were more players like him and I hope when the end of the season comes, that the league have some form of fair play award as he certainly deserves to be one of the winners.
5-A-Side tournament - Monday the 5th April - The day will involve all 10 Inter teams (inc. the U6’s) and is all proceeds will go towards raising funds for the U13’s trip to Spain.
·The day starts at Midday and will include:

· More details to follow

31.01.10 - Decimated - If its not rain, it's snow, or frost or the local chav's with nothing better to do than ruin pitches with their motor bikes that is turning this season into a washout. Having had to sit on our hands for a few over the Xmas break, things were looking up after last week but this Saturday saw frost laden wheel tracks across both 11 a-side pitches that put paid to any play. It would have been just too dangerous to play on so well done to the inbreds who have nothing to do other than ruin life for others. How proud your families must be of you..!!
That said, things were still touch and go for most pitches around the area and games were able to be played once the sun had started to thaw things out. The 14's had there game called off the day before when Cronton Villa were unable field a team. The 13's again showed how it's done with am emphatic win over Runcorn Panthers who put up a spirited but fruitless fight. The 12's were the victims of the chavs with both 10's and 8's team's succumbing to the hard ground. The 7's game was cancelled for reason's that can't be discussed on here. The 14's and 13's also had their Sunday games called off due to the massive amounts of 2mm snow that fell on Saturday night. All in all, this leaves a very short time left to get the remaining games fitted in. I fully expect that something will have to give soon as we cannot be expected to play all league & cup games when the light allows mid-week games to be played as both junior and senior teams will be looking to play on the limited pitches around the region. If both junior and senior leagues wish to grow and flourish then a hunt must start for now for more fields to create new pitches for them to play on. Currently the ones we have just cannot take another season of play if the weather conditions are the same next season.
------------------
27.01.10 - FINALLY after weeks of trying I have finally managed to get the monkeys who host the site to sort the issues out and I can get around to updating the teams pages. I can only apologise for this and will be wielding a massive stick at the technical people when I find them.!!!
More to follow ASAP..!!
--------------
06.12.09 - Sadly, another week of rain saw off the majority of fixtures though bizarrely, some games were called off when pitches were well within tolerance limits. Anyway, the 14's, 13's & 12's all saw there weekend washed away and the growing number of games is starting to raise eyebrows. Lets just hope when it comes to teams having to playing two, three or even four games a week, maybe someone might actually do something about it as its happening every season now. This in turn raises the question if the players sustain so many games towards the end of the season due to the problems during it..?
Anyway, the games that did manage to go ahead saw the 11's being extremely unlucky when they took on close table rivals Brookvale at home in the cup but it was the away team who took some small revenge for its clubs 3 team mauling by Inter last week when they edged them out 2-1. Well done Brookvale and good luck in the next round. Both 10's teams took on Heath Rangers with mixed results. The 10's Phoenix should have put Athletic to the sword early in the game but some loose finishing allowed Heath back into it however the 10's Alphas went one better with a 5 zip win in a reversed fixture. The 9's also saw success with a comfortable win over Wolves Cubs.
Bingo Ball Winner - Game 2 saw a winner in week 7 with the lucky bug...........er, winner coming from the u11's list. Please contact John Hodnett from the 12's for all new lines.
Presentation Evening - We can now confirm this seasons awards for Friday the 11th June. This year will see us having to move locations to the Holiday Inn, Beechwood. More details to follow.
--------------
30.11.09 - It has been the age old problem of lack of playing area's against the volume of teams wanting to play on them and the recent bad weather is starting to have a impact on the quality of games. Some of the pitches the players are having to play on can only be described as farmers fields but what can be done.?
Have a few weeks off right now to hopefully give the pitches time to recover and suffer a fixture back log.?
Have a longer break around Christmas and extend the season into May or June.?
Move junior football away from winter altogether from March through to October.?
Who knows but something has to be done as the players cannot be expected to produce football week in, week out on surfaces that are little more than swamps after only a few weeks bad weather.!
Anyway, back to the football (if you could call it that). The 14's, 13's & 12's did the treble over Brookvale with a combined 30+ goals over the 3 games. With Stockham Fields suffering more than most, the 13’s & 12’s did a superb job in recording that amount of goals. The 11’s had there game cancelled as did the 10’s Phoenix though for totally different reason’s. The 10’s Alphas had a close called defeat but with next season’s u11’s looking like it will be going to 9 a-side, the future is looking good for next season’s u11’s. The 9’s kept there assault on the league going with a solid 6-0 win to lowly Hurricanes but games played by the teams around them may prove to much when it comes to the final stages of the season.
Fund raiser - The club would like to thank everyone who helped raise near to £600 with the recent Derby tickets raffle & signed shirt draw. We have also had 2 tickets donated to the club by Allan Gauld from Intrinsic Technology for the up-coming game between Liverpool & Arsenal on the 13th Dec. The tickets are for the upper centenary stand & include a meal before the game in the restaurant. The seats have a superb view of the shi.... er, pitch as they are just on the halfway line and the 2nd row from the front so you are bound to see Arsenal's match winning goals from this great spot. For ticket's, please speak to your team manager. PLEASE NOTE, ANY WINNING TICKET THAT DOES NOT HAVE A CONTACT NUMBER ON IT WILL BE DEEMED INVALID AND THE DRAW WILL BE DONE AGAIN.
--------------
23.11.09 - Congratulations to the U10's Alpha's who yesterday raised over £300 in a sponsored walk & swim. The walk was Windmill Hill to Walton Gardens. The swim was completed by John Kehoe was sponsored £50 for a 50 yard swim along the canal (yes, you DID read it right) along the way. The list of people who went and some pictures of the day can be found HERE.
It was also a fairly successful weekend for most teams though the 11's good run of form come to an end when they went down to HRBL Thistle. I know the work Ste McKenna, Bryan Mills and John Mclennon will continue. The rest of the teams all did well and I managed to catch the 1st half of the 8's and what a team these lads are turning into. To watch such controlled play at such a young age shows how Phil Booth started them off last season and that good work is being carried on by Dean Kennington & Peter Gobin. The 14's again suffered in the Sunday league though the improvement week to week of themselves along with the 13's in the Warrington league is proof to the reason's why we entered these league's and the weekly challenges that both teams are getting.
--------------
15.11.09 WE WON THE LOTTERY..!!! - No, not a few million in the main lottery, and NO, not Inters very own Bingo Ball but the Toffee Lotto that Inter enter into last week saw them win the 1st prize for £1000. Simon Archer who introduced the club to this fund raiser said that this money will go someway towards next years trip to Spain. I will post more info about the Toffee lotto when my scanner is working again..!!!
http://www.evertonfc.com/toffee-lotto-winners-wk-24-draw-date-05/11/2009.html
Washout weekend - All 4 11 a-side teams were the victims of the awful weather over the last few days though oddly enough, the mini-footy pitches were deemed playable..?? Anyway, it was left the 10's Alphas to post the only win on Saturday when they turned over an in form Dragons outfit. Well done lads. Sunday so saw mixed fortunes with the 12's going out to Frodsham Town though when a disputed goal was given against Inter, even the Frodsham forward noted how they were lucky to be given it, even after pointing it out at the time it happened. Anyway, all at Inter wish Frodsham all the best as they did score 2 other goals of high class indeed.
Volunteers - Can we again ask for volunteers from the relevant teams to help mark the pitches out with the line markers. There are too many pitches for the same people from the last few seasons to do it on there own so your help would be greatly appreciated indeed. The more there are, the quicker it will take.
--------------
08.11.09 - Stunning win for the 11's when they turned over the league leaders, Heath Utd in the T.Miller cup on Saturday. These lads have turned a potentially horrendous season into one of progression, determination and sheer bloody hard work. Well done to Steve, Bryan and particularly John Mcclennon who has been working with Steve & Bryan to help improve there early season start. The 9's, 10's Phoenix, 12's, 13's and 14's all posted solid wins on Saturday though Sunday was a slight damp squib when the 13's drew against current league leaders Rainhill Utd though the 13's do have 2 games in hand and the 14's drew a 2nd blank in as many weeks when they went down for the 2nd week running in the 14's divisional cup, 1st round.
Pitches - We now have the correct line whitener so could the managers, trainers and parents please arrange to help the marking out of your own pitches please.? Don't forget, its up to all of us to lend a hand.
--------------
01.11.09 - More success saw the 14's, 13's, 11's and 10's Phoenix all submit wins with the 10's Alphas coming back well from 2-0 down and the 12's surrendering a 2 goal lead to what we are told was a superb Read Park side in a thrilling game. Only the 9's suffered a disappointing defeat in the Executive cup. Also congratulations to the 13's with an eventual convincing 1-7 Cheshire Cup win over Heath Rangers 12's. It was a pity that weather defined the tactics of the home teams game and two 1st half free kicks that were the only real long range attacks were indicative of the day. Having read the home teams report of the game, there has been an obvious difference of opinion (see here) but there is no denying that Inters overall class far out-weighed any suggestion that there would have been a surprise on the cards. Overall, well done to Jack Doolan who played a blinder at the back thus proving the playing of football on the floor is the way forward for all young players.
Newsletter - I am putting together the next edition and am looking for anyone to send me anything you may wish adding. It doesn't have to be football related but anything to do with the parents or players of Inter would be appreciated.
A quick note to let you all know Josh Parkes is making good progress after his accident. Josh's mum, Lisa, Andy Hill and John Davies from the 12's thank everyone who were asking about him recently

27.10.09 - Well done to both 10's teams in a day that saw both teams progress through to the next stage of the A Woodward cup. Our youngest star's, the 7's & 8's had a well deserved weekend off after there recent success's but the 11's also chalked up another win and there progression is starting to impress other teams in there age group. The 12's, 13's & 14's all posted wins with only the 9's being denied a victory with a 1 - 1 draw. Next week sees some big games in the run up to the Xmas break. All team still have eyes on silverware so lets get behind them all. Don't forget, it's a privilege to play for this club. Its also a privilege to watch the teams play the way they do.
Get well soon to Josh Parkes from the 12's who was involved in a car accident over the weekend. He was kept in hospital overnight but appears to have come through. Lets hope its not too long before he is back causing havoc down the wing's.
I would also like to draw your attention to a game in Brazil that saw a team needing to win by 11 clear goals achieve there target of promotion. With 10 minutes to go, they were only 2 - 0 up. Watch what happens and you make your own minds up on the final result..!!! (PS - This is a GENUINE game...)

18.10.09 - A great weekend had by all - Firstly, may we thank everyone at the club who turned up on Saturday for your help. Without you, this club would not survive. It's greatly appreciated and over the course of the day, over £600 was raised. Another thanks to the people who helped organise the day including Graham and Elaine at the Roundhouse. The bar staff (too many names to mention). Jay Madds, Andy Hill, Si Archer and finally, Jay Timms whose performance was immense indeed. You have the patience of a saint putting up with the people you were entertaining. The kids enjoyed themselves as well...!!! Here is a quick video of part of Jays performance. He is HIGHLY recommended..!!!
CLICK HERE FOR SOME PICTURES OF THE DAY
Back to the football - Another weekend of the great game again saw our teams assault for silverware continue though an unfortunate u10's Alphas were knocked out of a cup when Pex Hill Pirates returned the favour after the 10's knocked them out last week. Well done to Pex Hill. The 10's Phoenix held top of the table Pex Hill Blues to a 1 - 1 draw and they continue to improve game on game. The 7's & 8's also continued there great season form and the 9's saw a great result when they knocked Heath Utd out of one the cup's in that age group. The 11's continue to impress though they were up against. The 10's stay 2nd with a good win and the 13's and 14's both now top there Saturday and Sunday leagues. The 14's saw off 3rd place Cronton Villa Jnrs with there performance of the season against the team that threatened to offer more.
Bingo Ball (HOORAY..!!!) - This has FINALLY gone when June Bentley won with the no11. Well done June and thanks for playing. Game 2 starts next week so PLEASE get your numbers into John Hodnett.
--------------
11.10.09 - Cup success - A massive well done to both 10's when they both posted wins in the S Boulton cup. This is the cup cup that already boasts the name of Inter Union JFC in previous season's. Unfortunately, the next round will see both teams play each other in what is promising to be a cracker. At least we know that we will have a team in the semi final..!!! The 9's, 12's & 14's were also in immense form with league wins with the 7's & 8's also playing some superb football for there age's with neither team losing. Keep up the good work to both managerial team's.. A mention also goes out to the 11's who saw there weekly improvement postponed for a week when they played top of table Heath team. Quite a few people were watching the game and it was a shock to hear the final result as it was evident that they were certainly a match in most area's of the park. We then however found out that the team had been hit with illness & injury which proves that this was just a hiccup in there continues progress.
FUND RAISER next Saturday the 17th from 3.30pm
Please can you remind all family and friends that from 3.30pm next Saturday, we are hosting a fun day at the Roundhouse. There will be various thing s for the kids to do ranging from penalty shoot-outs, kids entertainers and even some video horse racing for any budding gambler. The evening will kick off when you have managed to palm the kids off with some more video horse racing, raffles and general debauchery for all who can make it. Don't forget its for the club AND the 13's trip to defend the Catalonia cup next year. This trip will be for every U13's so even though it may not be your player this season, it will one day so lets all get the kids up and hopefully stay for the evening.. See you all there.
BINGO BALL
Amazingly, the bingo ball has not been won and goes into week 10 with the prize money now standing at £460. There are 3 players needing 1 ball and quite a few needing 2. Game 2 will start straight after so please get your lines & numbers over to John Hodnett.
PLEASE NOTE THAT IF ANYONE IS NOT UP TO DATE, THE WINNINGS WILL NOT BE PAID OUT SO PLEASE SEE JOHN HODNETT BEFORE THE DRAW NEXT WEEK..!

04.10.09 - Fortress Inter - There are no superlatives that I can say that can describe yesterday but from the outset, Inter JFC again surpassed there already high level of standards. Yesterday saw the 1st full day of football at Stockham fields in at least 10 years and the football on show from all teams was a joy to watch. Unfortunately, again the 10's Alpha's suffered at the hands of an excellent Pex Hill Blues but the manner of the defeat showed the fight and desire that we all know the team has. The remaining team's saw success that included a superb 3-3 fight back from the 11's against 2nd place Pex Hill Rangers JFC. Game of the day was certainly the 9's with there superb performance against Weston Point Wanderers with Aflie Archer providing the pick of the goals. The 10's Phoenix showed that last weeks defeat was a blip with an outstanding 7-0 defeat of Pavillions and the 13's & 14's were in form with the 14's also defeating top of the table Picton in the Merseyside & Halewood league. This league is certainly what the players needed and the weekly challenge is definitely helping there progression.
Saturday saw the official unveiling of the u13's new strip that this year is dedicated to cancer awareness, specially breast cancer awareness that has unfortunately seen too many people suffer from. The team are pictured with our chairman, Bob Wilson and his wife Cathy who herself has recently battled the disease. You will all agree that this is a worthwhile gesture that we at Inter Union JFC hope will raise the awareness to others. Its our aim to have a number of fund raisers during the course of the year and we only hope that as many people as possible can attend.
Saturday also saw the unveiling of Inters cafe and a debt of thanks has to go to all who helped role this out. Lisa Parkes, Tracy Johnston raised over £30 the week before. Si Archer, Jay Maddock, Andy Hill, Tina Jolliffe, Pauline Maddock & Vickie Archer all helped serve the hungry masses on Saturday and raised over £150. All funds after cost's go towards club funds.
Here are some pictures of the afternoon.

27.09.09 - It had to happen soon and at last, Inter Alpha's finally had the win they have been looking for. Well done to the lads for keeping at it. This should kick start your season now. The rest of the club saw success though the 10's Phoenix suffered there 1st defeat of the season against Beechwood who completed the double over our 10's in as many weeks. The 11's saw there 1st win of the campaign. Another team who refused to let early season heartache get in the way. Well done to all at that age group for turning things around. The 12's, 13's & 14's also won maintaining there challenges and with eh 14's having no game on Sunday, it was left to the 13's Sunday team to keep up the assault in other area's.
Bingo Ball - Game 1 is drawing to a close with more than a few people currently standing on 5 numbers. Prize money is up to £368. Please contact John Hodnett from the 12's to register your lines with him for game 2.
Finally congratulations goes to Matty Brown from last season's u13's as he has just been awarded a contract with Championship outfit, Preston North End. Matty has been trialling with PNE for a while now and his hard work paid off after initially receiving the news that his trial period was being extended due to management restructures at the club. Matty has been with Inter since the beginning and whilst we are sorry to see Matty leave as he was an integral part of the team and club, all of us at the club are proud to have again produced another player who can hopefully climb the ranks. We keep churning them out, don't we..!!!
Matty at Inter in pictures..!!!

21.09.09 - Another fine weekend saw the unlucky 10's Alphas again suffer when they come up against an excellent Beechwood side. Hopefully there season will start with see a win next week. The rest of the games saw wins all round though a resurgent 9's drew 2-2.
Will managers and trainers please note there is a meeting on Wednesday at 7.30 in the Roundhouse. Agenda will be supplied on the evening but if anyone has anything to add, please let me know on interadmin@inter-unionjfc.co.uk
--------------
17.09.09 - Inter u13's went top of the Warrington league last night with a solid and controlled performance against a resilient Appleton side. A big plus was the way the team fought for the ball from whistle to whistle. A quick mention must also go the ref for this game. His performance was excellent which was helped by his constant instruction to the players on what was going on and the reasons for his decisions. This helped the game flow well indeed. The u12's also chalked up another win against Hale tonight with a 2-4 score line. A mention in this game must go to the home keeper who was in immense form. Some of his stops deserve a mention and his quick reactions kept frustrating Inters forwards.
Finally, can all teams who still need photo's completing PLEASE either take them yourselves and send them in or let me know when you are all there and I can sort them out. I can understand the managers not wanting there photo's done. Some right ugly mugs you lot have..!!!

15.09.09 - Weekend wonders..!! - Wow. That was a great weekend. With only 1 team losing which was unfortunately the u10's Alpha's who had a great performance against eventual winner's, the u10's Phoenix. It was a pity someone had to lose but the game was played in excellent sprit. Its good to see all teams doing well at such an early start of the season. A big mention to the 11's who, after suffering in the 1st game have now posted two impressive draws. Saturdays game against Pavilions shows how much they have leant in such a short time and the fight to come from behind impressed all who were watching. Another mention goes to the 14's who had one of there hardest test's in a long time. They too fought all the way taking the result against last seasons runaway league winners, East Villa in the Liverpool league. That league will certainly challenge them which can only be a good thing.
Game 1 of the bingo ball is also coming to an exiting end with prize money currently standing at just under £300. A few players are on 4 balls and one lucky punter on 5 balls. Please let John Hodnett of the u12's know if you would like your name adding to the list. All money goes back to the club and its your players who will benefit in the long run.
Finally, Could we also take the chance to remind EVERYONE to pick up there rubbish after the games please.? The fields are used by quite a few people during the weekend as well as Halton High and your help in keeping them clean would be greatly appreciated.

06.09.09 - 1st league weekend - Well the waiting was worth it indeed. Some great results and the effort from all players did the club proud. Still some work for the managers but we know that results will not be soon in coming. For those who are not aware, Inters u13's & u14's have expanded to new leagues by entering the Warrington & Liverpool football leagues respectively. I have no doubt that they will be able to continue to celebrate even more silverware than before that these new, and and more importantly fresh challenges will bring. Entering those leagues has certainly opened a few eyes indeed..!!!
We will also soon be issuing Inters new monthly newsletter which will make you all aware of the exiting event's in the coming months that we know you and the players will enjoy.
As ever, if anyone wants an Inter Union JFC email address then please email me on interadmin@inter-unionjfc.co.uk and I will get one sorted for you.
Finally, I will be sorting the team and individual photos out this wee so hopefully you will be able to see what a good looking club we are. For this to happen though, I will not be putting a picture of Jay Maddock up. We all know how ugly he really is..!!!
--------------
31.08.09 - Inters new home - Due to the club's new size, we have reluctantly have to leave Sutton Fields and are now playing all home games on Stockham Fields. From Runcorn's central express way (the A533), follow signs for Halton High School. Go past the Halton Arms pub, turn left at the roundabout, go over the traffic light's, past the school and then take 1st left down Cleethorpes Road. After approx 100 yards, you will see a turn off on the left hand side that looks like a path. You can park down there. From there, you will then see the playing fields.
15.08.09 - IT'S HERE..!!!! - After a few months off, the new season is upon us. Most teams are now selected and in the middle of pre-season games and I must admit, there are more than the usual title prospects than previous season's.
I will get around to adding photo's over he next few weeks but for now, the main update is to announce the return of Inters Bingo Ball, run again by John Hodnett. This is so the names and numbers are all available for all to see for week 1 of game 1 for this new season.
Whilst our thanks go to John for his time and effort, we need more people to put there names down and raise even more funds for the club as it our aim to send the U13's team to defend the Catalonia trophy that was brought home with pride by last season u13's.
Johns contact details are all on the page but but you can John watching the u12's, this season's hot favourites for the title.
